dc.description.abstract With the huge amount of information available, information retrieval is widely used nowadays. Information retrieval is a field concerned with storage, searching and retrieval of information. The goal of information retrieval system is to provide users with documents that will satisfy their information need. In many universities and public libraries, information retrieval system is used to provide easy access to books, journals and other documents. The proposed system is intended to implement the information retrieval system for IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) papers by using BM25+ ranking method and Simplified Phrase Search Algorithm. The ranked list of related papers to the user query will be provided by the system. en_US
