In medical field, it is very difficult to get correct
Diagnosis because there are many possible diseases in each
case. And it is also important to get correct diagnosis as soon
as possible to save lives of people. It is impossible for a person
to consult a medical specialist whenever he/she feels a symptom
of a disease. In this situation, computer program giving health
information may help his/her decision whether the symptom is
serious or not. Computer-based methods are increasingly used
to improve the quality of the medical services. Thus, computerbased
medical diagnosis systems are playing an increasingly
important role in assisting both diagnosis and treatments. This
paper intends to design and implement a diagnosis system for
breast cancer using case-based reasoning approach, based on
the symptoms of the patients. Case-based reasoning is the
process of the solving new problems based on the solutions of
similar past problems. The system store the knowledge of the
medical experts and the medical records of the previous cases.
Based on the knowledge stored, this system studies the breast
cancer and develops a diagnosis system that decides the
patient’s cancer stages and suggests treatments. |
