Abstract:
In the application of Natural Language
Processing (NLP), phrase identification is one of the
important roles for machine translation system. This
paper proposed Myanmar Verb Phrase identification
Algorithm and Morphological Analysis of prefix, suffix
and tense particle. The proposed system uses RuleBased and Maximum Matching approach on how to
identify the Myanmar Verb Phrase. Updated
information are presented by using Finite Sate
Automata applying the predefine rules. And then, the
system translates the Myanmar Verb Phrase into
proper English Verb Phrase. The system also creates a
small Myanmar – English Bilingual lexicon.
