dc.description.abstract The network security is very important for data transmission on the internet and security threat is very important challenges in any communication system. This security of information can be achieved by using encryption and steganographic technique. In this paper, a steganographic scattered LSB technique is proposed by combining these two techniques. This system is based on Pseudo Random Number Generator to get cryptographic strength. In this paper, BMP image file is used to hide the encrypted message and RC4 encryption algorithm is used for data encryption. To generate the stego-image, BMP image file is divided into number of blocks. As a consequence, any opponent can’t know easily which data is inserted in which block count. Therefore, we can protect the privacy of our information. Moreover, our technique intends for data integrity and data confidentiality. This LSB technique can be used for many applications in computer science and other related fields. en_US
