Eliciting Ideal Candidates for Social Learning on PLE

Abstract

Personal Learning Environment (PLE) technology is centered on the concept of self-regulated learning that creates responsible learners, who are capable of critical thinking and able to plan their own learning processes. Myanmar Personal Learning Environment (MPLE) system mentioned in this paper is developed to create flexible, web-based system for the learning services on a personal level. Collaboration widget is one of the portions of this system and it intends to support the users or learners to obtain the new idea or contributions by publishing the topics of their interested fields. The main objective of this widget is to support the users to publish their interested fields and to collect the precious advising comments corresponding to these fields. So, synonym based ranked multi-keyword similarity measurement method is proposed to improve the process of searching ideal candidates from the various comments.
