dc.description.abstract The increasing use of ICTs for commercial and administration activities, specifically in an Internet environment, requires laws and regulations to address a set of issues, such as the legal validity of electronic documents, e-signature, privacy, intellectual property rights, cybercrime, and building trust. This would require harmonized legal frameworks enabling international interoperability, for ICT itself, as well as systems for fighting the misuse of ICT for illegal and fraudulent purposes and providing ICT users worldwide protection regardless of their physical location. This paper describes the concerns regarding related laws and regulations for eGovernment service provision at the national level for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the harmonization between Myanmar eGovernment Legal Framework and the Common Legal Framework for the ASEAN eGovernment which is being developed. It also provides an overview of the main aspects, actors and the working context of the Myanmar eGovernment Legal Framework Development. en_US
