dc.description.abstract Cloud computing is a rising area within the field of Information Technology (IT). It has a potential for cost savings to the enterprises but the security risk are also enormous. In cloud environment, sensitive data or information is continuously exchanged between all the involved parties. It has to be protected against unauthorized accesses. This paper shows an encryption access control scheme for flexible policy updating in cloud storage with the help of Ciphertext Policy Attribute- Based Encryption (CP-ABE).When a data owner who encrypts data updates his access policy, the ciphertext is re-encrypted according to new access policy. The aim of proposed scheme intends to protect personal health records (PHR) for healthcare domain. It considers generating a secret token key by the match level between the old and new access policies. It intends to give a full control on data owner and to be strong re-encryption phase and to get a fine-grained access control. en_US
