dc.description.abstract	The fusion of images from the optical and SAR sensors enables an effective analysis by complementing the weakness of each other. However, unlike optical image, geometrical distortions commonly occur during image acquisition of SAR images due to the geometrical characteristics of the target ground A simple yet efficient algorithm called SURF (Speeded Up Robust Features) is adopted and modified to make it fully applicable to SAR images.	en_US
