dc.description.abstract The Abhidhamma is one of the three parts of the Pali cannon, the Tipitaka, the main texts of Theravada Buddhism and is sometimes described as ‘Buddhist Psychology’ [2]. Human mind is consciousness (citta) and mental factors (cetasikas) and there are 54 types of consciousness in sensual plane in Abhidhamma. Along with any consciousness, there arise certain mental constituents which are called cetasikas or mental factors, like love, hate, anger, disgust, disappointment, etc. This paper researches into the classification of human mind based on consciousness in Abhidhamma by mean of forward chaining technique. Consciousness Expert System is developed as rule-based expert. The consciousness in Abhidhamma are structured and transformed as rules to be represented as Abhidhamma knowledge-base. The forward chaining technique is used to matching human mind being with rules in Abhidhamma knowledgebase, the specific type of consciousness is analyze and produce the associated mental factors. en_US
