Effective Vendor Selection Using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Approach

Abstract

The decision support system (DSS) is an interactive system to support decision making. We intend to build the system as a decision support system using Analytical hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. In the proposed system, AHP is applied on selecting a factory of engine company or vendor to give the effective decision for factory’s administrator who want to know which engine company or vendor is most suitable for the factory market. Vendor selection is an important for an effective inventory management. The vendor selection process is also a complicated process because it requires evaluation of multiple criteria and various constraints. This system will assist the decision maker to get the best vendor.
