Mobile Agents based Online Examination System

Abstract

Agent-based learning system can serve as a powerful research tool to investigate online testing and learning. The software agent can be used to assist the human users. The online examination is also testing and evaluating the knowledge of online students. To be success the online education, it should be designed with effective techniques. Nowadays, the existing traditional techniques are computer based testing and web based testing. But they have many limitations. Mobile agent is a relatively new emerging design for structuring distributed application over the past few years on client-server approach. Therefore this system is intended as an online examination system using mobile agents. In this system, multiple mobile agents will be used to get agent’s properties such as coordination and cooperation. Multi-agents technology will be used for achieving online examination and evaluation, and improving the examination process.
